Work to a calm is a confessional poetry zine that wants powerful emotion, deep longing or heartfelt frustration. We are not looking for nature poems, rants, abstract poems. Send 3-5 poems in the body of an e-mail with a cover letter and bio so the editor doesn’t get cranky and decide to delete your e-mail for not following what she wants. Please put “Poetry Submission” in the subject line. Also note that we do not accept simultaneous submissions. If you want to submit here, we want to know that we’re the only one you’ve considered for your poems. We don’t like to share. We’re territorial that way. Adelina Lenkova is the editor.
